Identify Design is a non-profit Photoshop, Coding, Scripting and Programming help site that offers its viewers excellent coverage of web development. Our website is fairly new (our official opening date was May 18th 2009, though it had been open a few days prior), despite the domain address itself being several years old. Since our opening, we have been focusing on expanding our library of tutorials and articles, as well as create one of the most in-depth and comprehensive tutorial databases on the internet.

Q. Why did you start Identify Design?
When I began making websites, there weren't really any major tutorial websites that taught you the basics and fundamentals of both web design and design itself. I've always been a talented writer and combining my two passions, writing and designing, into a tutorial websites seemed like a superb idea.
Q. How long has Identify Design been around?
Identify Design has been open since May 10th 2009. Work has been underway on and off since January 2009. The domain itself is almost four years old.
Q. What does the name mean?
This domain was originally purchased years ago to serve as a design showcase and inspiration website. The name was chosen with the simple slogan in mind; "To Identify the best in Design". Since then, the purpose of this site has obviously changed. I couldn't tell you exactly how the title fits in anymore, but it's still pretty catchy.
Q. What CMS is your site using?
Identify Design is using a custom CMS that I created specifically for this site. I have no plans to release it publically.
Q. Why is the layout so basic?
Identify Design is a tutorial resource, not a website showcase. Since the aim of our website is to provide people with quick and efficient design help, we felt the need to deliver this information as quickly as possible. With a graphically intense layout, loading times would be higher and the whole purpose of this website would be undermined.
Q. Do you plan to make a graphically intense design for viewers who want it?
We have plans to introduce a new theme in the future that utilises the full graphical capabilities of stylesheets, but our priority in the meantime is to further our library of content. The new style would be optional, like the "Night" theme available, and would be
very graphically orientated.

Identify Design is based in England, Europe. The owner of this site lives in Devon, the second largest county in England. This site operates from within that county from a design agency, although this site isn't owned by said agency.
